Pete York's Rock'n Blues Circus, Kulturhaus Stadtgarten Neuruppin - 08 Dec 2018
Blown away from a true 'good time' gig which was a highlight on Saturday night at Kulturhaus Stadtgarten Neuruppin - just outside the Berliner Ring. So much fun in a fan-friendly venue, dancing, singing, snapping, everything allowed. Downstairs was a stand-up section, the gallery upstairs was seated and offered a great view from wherever you sat. The band were brilliant, difficult to pick a favourite song but Roger Glover paying tribute to Eddie Cochran with "Somethin' else" was awesome as was Pete York's extensive drum solo during "I'm a Man". Of course the crowd wouldn't let them go without encore which was "Smoke on the Water" to huge applause.

Roger Glover
These guys proved again that a fantastic gig is no question of age !! Thanks to Zoot Money for his funny announcements and don't forget to come back before too long!

Also a big thanks to Zoot for sending me their setlist, he commented "There you are Gudrun ... for you and Pauline. We used that program for all the gigs except the last one. Good listening and Merry Xmas to you both. Zoot."

30. IKLG in Berlin-Mariendorf, Open-Air Festival 09 - 12 Mai 2013

Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes played the St Veit Festival in Kaernten, Austria - 10 Sep 2010

First Miller Anderson Band, then Albert and the boys, what a night full of great music at the old Herzogburg.
It was a sunny day but got rather chilly at night. The boys said later there was a terrible draught onstage and they all got stiff fingers. Chris Farlowe who was scheduled for the next night with the Hamburg Blues Band, showed up and joined Albert and Hogan's Heroes for an awesome version of STORMY MONDAY BLUES. He joked around in his usual way, changed some of the lyrics and was just awesome. His voice was great, what a volume!

It was great to meet lovely people, find fellow fans and new friends and have a great time at the festival. Many thanks to the friendly staff providing drinks/cakes and making everybody feel welcome. Hannah deserves a special mention managing the tour and taking care of our precious heroes on the road, great job! We agreed that this was not our last visit to St Veit.

Gerry Hogan, steel guitar, git

Band Members:
Miller Anderson - guitar/voc/harmonica
Kris Gray - bass/voc.
Frank Tischer - keyb.s/voc.
Tommy Fischer - drums

Miller Anderson Band opened the show on 10 September and were just brilliant. Albert & Hogans Heroes headlined the bill, it was a night full of great music and fun in a relaxed atmosphere.
I've put these photos up as these musicians have a long tradition and played with many bands, e.g. Keef Hartley (as did former 'hero' Pete Wingfield), Spencer Davis Group, T Rex, Donovan, Chicken Shack, Edgar Broughton Band - just to name a few. And last not least - they are all huge Albert & HHs fans!

Burgkultur Openair at Herzogburg - St. Veit/Glan - Kärnten, Austria.

Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes at Blues on the Farm, Chichester - 21 June 2008

Blues on the Farm - 21 June 2008
Great event near Chichester. Albert & HHs were onstage already on 6.45 pm which meant I had to hurry up driving all the way down from Luton Airport to Chichester .... but made it on time despite thick traffic. Met up with Jilly, Ange, Steve and Uwe, and we all had a great time and enjoyed ourselves - even the bad weather couldn't spoil our good mood. We were all so much looking forward and were not disappointed. Great bands line-up and relaxed atmosphere as always at this traditional festival. Thanks to our friends Ange and Jilly for taking excellent photos and sharing them with me. Click on the picture to get to the Flickr album. It was nice to meet up with Uwe from Berlin for the first time; he's a great fan and travelled all the way by train. We should meet again later at several gigs.

Band:

Peter Baron, drums, voc
Brian Hodgson, bass, backgr voc
Elio Pace, key, acc, voc

Also on the bill:
The British Blues Quintet featuring the excellent Maggie Bell as well as Miller Anderson and Colin Hodgkinson. Maggie is vocally regarded by some as the British answer to Janis Joplin, what an amazing voice ! To quote Maggie: "not bad for a 63 year old ...". Photos taken by me and Jilly Penegar, thanks for sending in and letting me use.
