Jane Taylor & band supported as last year, fortunately their performance was shorter this time as their music wasn't so much my cup of tea. To be fair, the violin player wasn't bad but the upright bass was way too loud and a pain in my eardrums.

The place was packed and people were in a good mood - ready for the Rhythm Kings. Bill introduced the band members as usual. Again a brilliant show despite some sound problems - Bill's microphone was not working properly and caused a brief interruption. "Sweet Soul Music" as a starter was new to the set, everybody including Graham did the "Yeah yeah's". Glad to see that "Chicken Shack" was on again which is a favourite of mine.

The horn section with Frank and Nick were brill and got extra applause as did Albert's superb guitar solos. Nice to meet up with Adam, Hogan's Heroes former crew member who was with his mom, also good to see Trevor, Hogan's sound engineer & girlfriend Shirley whom I met earlier at Birmingham Roadhouse. Everybody had a great time and enjoyed the show.
Later I got my O2 programme signed by all of the band members. Additionally Albert signed my 'Guitar Heaven' book which was a gift from Sarah and featured an article about him and his Ernie Ball Music Man signature guitar. Another fantastic night with this great band. Next morning saw me heading down to Southampton for their last summer gig in 2008.
