Last gig for me at Lancaster Grand Theatre on Monday. Great atmosphere also here, but Holmfirth couldn't be topped. Being from Morecambe, Paul Hayes had a home run and hung out in the foyer giving friends and fans a warm welcome. A public address announcement said that photos and videos were not allowed but after the interval I got permission to take pictures.
Despite some technical problems, the band delivered an outstanding performance and me and my lovely neighbours who were huge Elvis fans had a blast. No changes to the setlist, TEAR IT UP closed the show, standing ovations with thundering applause at the end - everything else has been said before.
After a little while, the musicians came out, and again long queues at their signing tables. Vince Eager's latest CD "788 Years Of Rock 'n' Roll" featuring a host of guests including Albert, Chas Hodges and others, was on sale. I bought one to have it signed by Vince who also had a kind word for me. Thanks to James' lovely tour manager, I had a souvenir picture taken with James and Albert in front of the stage. It was fun chatting with band members and fellow fans until it was time to say bye-bye. A big THANK YOU for a great time at 3 excellent gigs I wouldn't have missed for the world!
