Donovan in der Passionskirche Kreuzberg

Donovan played at Passionskirche Kreuzberg, a church which has been offering top acts over the last few years.
The place was almost sold out, so the gallery was open as well which enabled an excellent view. The Sunshine Superman celebrated his
50th Anniversary World Tour with all his hits – Mellow Yellow, Hurdy Gurdy Man, Catch The Wind, Colours, Jennifer Juniper, Atlantis and many more.

An interesting night full of storytelling, poetry and a trip down memory lane. A bit of a downside was the terrible lighting, very dark and just red-ish or blue-ish, I took the intention was to keep it as intimate as possible.
Donovan sat on a pillow most of the time playing two acoustic guitars in turns. There was a short break only, and he came back quickly and did the second set as entertaining as the first one. Great applause and cheers at the end from all the Sixties fans.

Donovan came out later signing and having a word with fans until it was time for him to leave. I took that his time table was tight as people were rushed through after saying a brief Hello and getting their stuff signed.
