Uriah Heep tore the house down last night. It was their last gig in Germany before heading off to Denmark. The band underwent many line-up changes, current members are Mick Box (the only remaining original member), Phil Lanzon, Bernie Shaw, Russell Gilbrook and Davey Rimmer. Great atmosphere at the sold out venue and a lot of fun. Close to the end no one remained sitting and rocked away. Two encores were given 'Lady in Black' where everybody sang along, 'Easy Living' closed the show. Ticket fee for both acts Uriah Heep+Zombies were reasonable and well spent for such a fantastic night.

Sixties band The Zombies at Admiralspalast Berlin on Friday night - much more than a support band. Lighting was a bit strange so I set most of my photos on black and white. A very responsive audience, Rod Argent got extra cheers for his outstanding keyboard playing (the classic bits were brilliant) and the venue was just perfect for vocalist Colin Blunstone's distinctive voice. All their hits were played including "She's Not There", "Tell Her No", "She's Coming Home", and "Time of the Season" and also stuff from their collaboration with Alan Parson's Project. Standing ovations at the end - well deserved.
