It was a hot night in every respect. Eric Clapton and brilliant band played the Mercedes Benz Arena Berlin to an enthusiastic audience. Some patience required, there was a support by Marc Amacher (from Berne, Switzerland), the only blues musician to make it to the finals of the casting show "Voice of Germany" (not bad) Then it took some more time until the gig started. The set consisted of an excellent bluesy part, an acoustic part and of course some of EC's warhorses. Good to see familiar faces in the Band as Chris Stainton and Paul Carrack!
Photos allowed but only small cameras or mobiles so not all my photos are sharp. Two huge screens enabled a good view from wherever you sat.

Close to the end Eric invited American jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel (photos left) to join for two songs "Cocaine" and the only encore "Before you accuse me"
Kurt Rosenwinkel will also play at this year's CROSSROADS Festival in Dallas in September.

A wonderful summer night and I won't mention the very high ticket fee
