"Deep Purple reagiert auf die große Nachfrage und ergänzt ihre ursprünglich drei Deutschlandkonzerte im Juli 2024 um sechs weitere Auftritte im Oktober - am 19. Oktober in der Max-Schmeling-Halle.
Die Band ist damit deutschlandweit live zu erleben, was angesichts des einzigen, schnell ausverkauften Konzerts im letzten Jahr in Hamburg, wo sie in neuer Besetzung auftraten, stark gefordert war. Der Ausstieg von Gitarrist Steve Morse führte zur Aufnahme von Simon McBride, was die Band laut Bassist Roger Glover verändert hat. Mein kurzer Bericht:
Some more or less good photos from last Saturday taken from a distance. I had a poor seat only but was fortunately able to switch to a better one later as the venue was not completely sold-out. to an enthusiastic crowd. It was great to see this band again after a very long time, first time I saw them was ages ago in the Seventies at the Niedersachsenhalle Hannover with a different line-up. A fantastic Saturday night bringing back memories.
