"Albert Lee & Hogans Heroes
Albert Lee zählt heute zu den renommiertesten Country-Style-Gitarristen seiner Zunft. Obwohl er neben Clapton und Page zur ersten britischen Gitarristen-Generation gehört, machte er deren Hinwendung zum Rock nicht mit, sondern frönte der ländlichen Volksmusik. Daß er in die Heimat des Country, in die USA, übersiedelte, war geradezu konsequent. Allerdings war er im Verlauf seiner langen Karriere als Sideman auch für Produktionen anderer Genres zu begeistern.
Neben eigenen Alben spielte er bei Produktionen u.a. von Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, Bill Wyman und Geoff Whitehorn (letzterer muss hier einfach genannt werden, nachdem er schon zweimal das Publikum im Blues & Beyond begeisterte) mit. Er gehörte zur Tourband von Emmylou Harris und den Everly Brothers, er ist Mitglied von Bill Wyman´s Rhythm Kings und gewann 2002 einen Grammy Award mit seinem Song 'Foggy Mountain Breakdown'.
Seine Band besteht aus Gerry Hogan (u.a. bei den Rock´n´Rollern Matchbox gespielt), Peter Baron, Brian Hodgson und Pete Wingfield (u.a. co-producer der Westernhagen Alben Affentheater, Radio Maria und Keine Zeit)."

The club was reported to be the best music club in Frankfurt, I was just wondering how the others are like ..... It has been closed down for about 3 years now. I must admit I never liked the place, the stage had only stamp-size and a lot of other things left to be desired ... Nevertheless I met nice people there & caught up with old friends which made up for everything. Albert played the 2005 gig despite a stiff neck and a lot of pains, thumbs up for him for doing the whole show ! Just some poor photos mainly by mobile as my camera packed up at one point..
