3.30pm Albert Lee & Hogan’s Heroes Best known for his unique musical style and blindingly fast hybrid picking technique, English guitarist Albert Lee is often referred to within the music industry as the ‘guitar player’s guitar player.’ He is renowned for his work across several genres of music and for the respect that he has gained from other industry giants. He has joined forces with Hogan’s Heroes to form a truly impressive musical act. The pedigree of the group and their rare blend of talent guarantee a magical treat of timeless and powerful music. 5.00pm Maggie Bell, Blues Quintet & Zoot Money Maggie Bell, the Scots Queen of Blues, and one of the greatest Blues and Soul singers of her time is joined by Zoot Money, Colin Allen, Miller Anderson and Colin Hodgkinson in this Blues super group of epic proportions.
9.15pm Andy Fairweather Low A true legend of British Blues, Andy Fairweather Low’s return to Colne is one of the most hotly anticipated performances of the weekend. Andy first found fame as one of the founding members of Amen Corner in the late 1960’s but later went on to become a highly successful solo artist who has worked with the likes of Neil Young, Roy Wood, Leo Sayer, Pete Townshend and George Harrison over his long and impressive career. Tickets for the weekend are selling quickly and early indications show that 2008 is likely to be another record breaking year for ticket sales.
