Brief review:
No empty seat on Sunday night at Ochsen Sinzheim, people even stood in the back. As always, a terrific atmosphere and a lot of fun at this lovely venue which became sort of a second home over the years. After we were spoilt by Klaus' excellent buffet which can't be beat, we were ready for the show and took our seats. The band with the new boys went down a storm and at some point people couldn't help but get up to their feet for standing ovations.
Nice to meet new friends e.g. Uwe Menze who wrote the review below for 'Beat in Baden' as well as 'old' friends including Georg Grimm from Karlsruhe. Glad to find him in good spirits and looking well. We had a lot of fun after the show sharing memories, doing some sing-along with our friend Hutch Snyder from the Black Forest and were treated with a champagne round from another guest who celebrated his birthday. Another great Sinzheim night to remember.
Glad to see that a new CD was available called "Off the record" featuring Albert, Ollie Sears (drums), Wayne Lee (keys), and Philip Mann (bass), it's a live recording partly done at Craxton Studios London and partly at Chelmsford FC. The EP comprises five tracks including some beautiful Buddy Holly & Crickets stuff.
Thanks to the lovely Burgmaier family for their great hospitality, see you again before too long.
