Albert's spring tour kicked off at The Half Moon Putney last Wednesday 28 Feb 2018 - both nights sold out as usual. Half Moon Putney always means good times, good food & many familiar faces in the crowd.
Great to catch up with Sue, Albert and Ollie and also great to meet the new boys Ross Spurdle and Ben Golding for the first time. Among the audience the 'usual suspects' and music buddies Dave and Karen, Jeremy & Sharon, Brian Hodgson's brother in law Bill, Jane Craxton as well as good friends Clawdy, Claire,  Terry Taylor on the second night, also Mike Berry could be spotted in the crowd together with other friends and family of the band members. Pauline and Rod Brown couldn't make it this time due to clashing dates and were sadly missed. Unfortunately, also Jilly had to pull out in the last minute.
The English weather left to be desired, deep winter in London (which of course meant no 'real' winter) - not too threatening to me but to many Londoners who are not used to snow, ice and slippery roads.

We enjoyed a lovely meal + drinks beforehand and had a lot of fun swapping the latest news and taking photos after the show. Walking back over slippery Putney Bridge to my ice cold hotel room was quite a challenge. Luckily Claire and I could move to warmer rooms thanks to the lovely staff at the reception who were extremely helpful also with the tricky vending machine and getting hot drinks.

Next obstacle was already around the corner, my return flight was cancelled but I was lucky things didn't turn out worse for one helpful assistance at Heathrow was able to put me on another flight which wasn't non-stop but eventually brought me safely home.
Definitely worth all the effort ....  Many thanks to Albert and the Band for giving us such a good time !! See you all before too long in Germany.
