A long way to drive in a freezing cold night. We had to walk to the Theatre de Naald to pick up our tickets. It turned out to be a small theatre, all seated, but very elegant.
A nice bar area, we had a brief chat with Albert there after checking out the CD stalls but were constantly interrupted by fans who asked for autographs.
Good seats for us, very close to the stage. Photos (with flash) were forbidden so I took just a few pics by mobile. Excellent show, Frank was in top form and he and Nick did their funny moves. They and the other band members worked hard but the audience sat like being glued to their seats and wouldn't get up. We enjoyed it nevertheless.
My favourites this time were 'I'm ready' by Fats Domino which Albert did excellently and 'Flatfoot Sam' with Beverley and the fab horn section.
Towards
the end the audience eventually woke up and thanked the band with
standing ovations. Later we staggered back to our hotel in the wet and
windy night, thanks to the lovely crew for sharing some jokes with us on
the way ;-)
