Bostelmann's Saal - Kulturtransport Frelsdorf - 09 April 2015
Band:
Albert Lee, git, voc, key
Gerry Hogan, steel guitar, git
Peter Baron, drums, voc
Chris Palmer, bass, voc
Doña Oxford, key, voc
Glad to see a full house at Frelsdorf. Carsten Bostelmann, the host, was happy to see a packed house and had some warm welcoming words for Albert and the band. He also informed us about upcoming events at his small but lovely venue where you can get food and drinks for little money, and then it was time for the boys to take to the stage. Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes were just brilliant. The audience was very responsive and didn't hold back applauding after every brilliant solo.
There were some minor changes to the setlist: 'Let it be me' was added on special request, no 'Highwayman' but 'Till I Gain Control' on piano. It was nice to share a table with nice people, the Foerstel family who turned out to be regular guests as well. Photos came out not too bad despite a difficult angle. Some good wine after the show, chats and fun until was time to go. The band had a long way to drive down to Wissen next morning which I would skip in favour of a relaxing day in the outskirts of Bremen.
