Meisenfrei Bremen - 08 April 2015

Band:

Albert Lee, git, voc, key
Gerry Hogan, steel guitar, git
Peter Baron, drums, voc
Chris Palmer, bass, voc
Doña Oxford, key, voc

Strange lighting at Meisenfrei Blues Club Bremen, but a fantastic gig. It was great to meet up with country friends Maria and Dieter from Bremerhaven as well as Matt Walker. We shared a table, swapped the latest news and enjoyed drinks and the great music. The setlist was pretty much the same as before, just 'Song for the Life' was replaced with 'Hanging On'. Needless to say that Doña Oxford went down a storm surprising the audience with her voice volume and her excellent piano work. I took from the crowd's reaction that Peter Baron's 'King of Broken Hearts' belonged to the favourite songs of the night. A special mention also for Chris Palmer who did an excellent bass solo during 'Country Boy' which he should keep for the rest of the tour.

Below an article from Kreiszeitung Bremen reviewing the Meisenfrei Gig. I don't quite agree on some points but basically it's ok.
