Top Ten Club
The Top Ten Club was a music club in Hamburg, Germany owned by Peter Eckhorn. The address in Hamburg area St. Pauli was 136 Reeperbahn. Albert [The Nightsounds] played there (1962) - the same time as The Beatles were playing The Star Club
Albert himself said:
"We [The Nightsounds] went to Hamburg for 3 weeks playing the Top Ten Club - the same time as The Beatles were playing The Star Club. It was my first trip abroad... in the day when every musician had to pay his dues in Hamburg - nightly, dusk to dawn...”. [Anm. G.S.: The Nightsounds: Brian Casser (from Cass and the Casanovas, better known as Casey Jones] on vocals, Albert Lee (guitar), Pat Donaldson (bass), Rikki [Ricky] Barnes (sax), John Puddy (sax), Tony Middleton (drums). The group's life was very short, until November 1962.
