Celebrating 50 years in music, double Grammy award winner Albert Lee comes to Brunton Theatre with his multi talented band Hogan’s Heroes (Gerry Hogan. Peter Baron, Brian Hodgson and Gavin Povey).
Albert is without a doubt one of the world’s finest guitar-players. Always in demand, Albert has featured on Terry Wogan on Sunday, Simon Mayo’s Drive Time and at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads festival on two occasions. He also performed at The Concert for George, a tribute concert for George Harrison at the Royal Albert Hall in 2002.
Most recently, Albert and the band completed a successful tour of the USA in the summer of 2010, the highlight of which was playing in Chicago when they were joined on stage by Vince Gill, Ricky Scaggs, James Burton and Bobby Cochran. ‘He is a great, great player, fluid, lyrical and free… [and] above all he is a truly wonderful singer, soulful and strong’ (Eric Clapton).
