Brief review:
One of the bands' last gigs this year at Devon Hall in Bideford which is on the grounds of Bideford College. Fortunately no floods anymore which enabled a safe driving. The friendly staff made me sign the venue's guest book as I travelled from far away and also got me a seat from which a good view was guaranteed although some rows back. The band were in good shape apart from Gerry who suffered from a bad cold with serious cough, thumbs up for him as he did the whole show being a pro! Needless to say that the band were brilliant. They went through their usual setlist with one exception: the Delbert McClinton song LIVING IT DOWN was skipped in favour of John Stewart's RUNAWAY TRAIN which was included in the set again.
Sue had to sit in the draughty and cold foyer at her merchandise table which was only possible wrapped up warm. The bands' signing table was there, too, and everybody hurried up to get out of the draught.
Here's to the next gig at beautiful Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne the following night which would also be my last Hogan's Heroes gig in 2012.
