Jam Productions present Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes, Bobby Cochran with special guests Vince Gill & James Burton ALBERT LEE, by common consent one of the world's finest guitar players, needs no introduction to Country Music and Rock fans. He has worked with some of the world's top artists, from Emmylou Harris to the Everly Brothers, Dolly Parton to Eric Clapton. Albert is a Grammy award-winning musician, whose talents continue to be in demand by fellow peformers throughout the world. HOGAN'S HEROES: This multi-talented band features some of the top musicians in the U.K. Hogan's Heroes was formed by its namesake Gerry Hogan over twenty years ago, specifically to back the legendary Albert Lee. The band's first gig took place in 1987 at Gerry's annual festival for pedal steel guitar. They have played together on a regular basis since that time and as a result have become one of the tightest units in music.
BOBBY COCHRAN, lead guitarist, singer, writer and producer, was influenced at an early age by his Uncle EDDIE COCHRAN (SUMMERTIME BLUES). At thirteen he set his aim on becoming a master guitarist, and went on to work with many prominent groups, including STEPPENWOLF, THE FLYING BURRITO BROS., AND LEON RUSSELL. He then joined forces with BOB WEIR (Grateful Dead), BILLY COBHAM (Mahavishnu Orchestra), ALPHONSO JOHNSON (Weather Report), KENNY GRADNEY (Little Feat) and DAVE GARLAND (Righteous Bros.) to form BOBBY AND THE MIDNITES.

"A guy walks into Martyrs Bar on the North side of Chicago. He looks up and sees Albert Lee and band playing the Johnny Burnette classic "Tear It Up". He looks over and sees James Burton on Albert's left. He looks again and sees on his right Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs and Bobby Cochran. Is it a dream........? It doesn't get much better..." On the other side of town, a group of regular WE contributors were back at Martyrs’ for a rare U.S. appearance by Albert Lee and Hogan’s Heroes. The first set featured material from their new CD, including “Crying in the Rain” and “Breathless”. Things got interesting in the second set when they were joined by Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs and James Burton. Highlights were “Mystery Train” (vocals by Vince, killer solos by all) and Albert Lee's signature tune, “Country Boy”, with vocals by Ricky Skaggs. Albert’s daughter, Alexandra, also did a guest turn in each set. (She would also join her Dad on stage the next day at Toyota Park).
